I fell asleep last night rather early... so I was up at 4:00 AM.

I was not as famished as I thought I would be - so I waited a while to eat. I made a scramble based on Ani Phyo Love the Chicks pate scrambles. My pate was slightly different - with more spices and I scrambled it with spinach, tomatoes and red & green peppers. I totally forgot to add mushrooms! I also made a raspberry, blueberry, blackberry, strawberry and pear smoothie. It was berry good. ( I know am I a dork - but I couldn't help myself!)

I had no idea so much time had passed when I went to grab a bite! I had some spinach and peppers left over from this morning so I mixed in some corn and hemp seeds and spices and dressing and with a side of kimchi had a meal. I also made a glass of mixed citrus juice: blood orange, oranges and lemon. Then I had some nori bites. Yum!

Not hungry for a snack, but I did make some delicious tea for myself and Scott while we snuggled in front of the fireplace and watched a movie.

Juice of 9 carrots*. When I went yesterday to buy some carrots at Publix instead of Harry's I was happy to see they has the 25 pound bag of organic carrots and $14.99. The produce manager came out and asked if we needed anything else and we fell into a conversation about the price of organic carrots - "it is much higher at Harry's", I told him and I go through a lot of carrots and appreciate that you carry them - he appreciated that I was buying them at $14.99. I did the math for him and he realized that 60 cents a pound was indeed a bargain. I hope I didn't screw myself!

*One of my team members asked what I was drinking.
"Carrot juice."
"Homemade!?"
"Of course. I juice just about everyday... Would you like some?" "OhyesyesyesIdidn'twanttobegbutpleasemayIhavesomethankyou?"
She then asked me if I put sugar in my juice. Hahaha. I told her it was naturally that sweet. I think she almost didn't believe me.

I ate a huge, lovely perfect banana. I could live very happily on a deserted island as long as there were banana trees. On my reading list is this book by Dan Koeppel. I am just afraid I may go on a banana rampage while reading!

I had half an avocado, flax crackers and made some sausage out of walnuts, hemp seeds, braggs, lemon juice and spices. I topped it all off with some Red Star Nutritional Yeast. I love that stuff - I just wish someone would come up for a more fitting name for it.

I devoured a pear.

We went out and left the club early because we had skipped dinner and went to R Thomas. I have the pick your own veggie plate - root veggie salad, cucumber wakame salad, li'l bit of nori rolls and sesame seaweed salad. It was really cold and loud in there, so we opted not to get desserts.

I slept in this morning - so no juice for breakfast. I did have some Rooibos tea and a banana.

I made raw not tuna salad and a spicy avo mayo - similar to this one I made on sunday. I had two raw chocolate cookies for dessert!

I shared a big, fat yummy red grapefruit with a co-worker. I love sharing food.

Saw the movie Candy and had some delicious chocolate pudding from a recipe on heartshapedsky's blog.

Woke up and had a walk this morning before breakast. Made a carrot and orange juice with a little lemon. Later in the morning a banana. Work is calm, even for a Monday!

Lunch is a salad type no fry stir fry with spinach, greens, baby broccoli, zucchini, carrots, mushrooms, sesame seeds and a dressing made out of nama shoyu, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, garlic and lemon zest. The dressing was from Matt Amsden's book.

I had a sweet Chilean plum as a snack. Ran out of spring water at work! I am going to be thirsty until I get home.

I saw a raw Gumbo recipe on goneraw and bought orka (which I never liked much) just to try it out. While looking over the recipe again, I realized that it was missing something really substantial - so I made some raw sausage to go with it. (I used the sausage from this Sausage and Pepper Pizza recipe as a base for my sausage. I used a lot of sage, onion, cayenne, some other spices and some braggs.) I left out the celery and added tomatillo to the gumbo and used some cajun spices that turned the gumbo base a beautiful deep red. Holy moly! It was hearty and spicy and made me wonder why I hadn't been eating like this the whole time! This did not take long at all; I will make this again - very soon.
